This Weeks News

At the Church Meeting yesterday there were quite a few dates and details for the early autumn, I thought I’d add them here so there’s no excuse getting them into our diaries!!!

**** Streets of Perton for Prayer This Week ****

St Mawes Road, Tutbury Avenue, Goodrich Avenue, Bodiam Court

A message from Phil re TRIO outcome

The ECC, and myself in particular, want to thank all 18 people who responded positively to the stewardship presentation done in early May. So far 18 people have either increased their standing order or have switched to giving by standing order and the total monthly increase is £339 ie £4,070 pa.  You will appreciate that this is still far short of the extra £1,043 pm we said was needed to break even for budgeting purposes but that excluded Gift Day and donations, So with another good Gift Day and continuance of the increased level of donations I am hopeful and prayerful that this year we shall at least break even.  Once again many thanks to you all for responding in such a positive manner.

Shoebox Appeal

This year we will again be collecting shoeboxes to send for Christmas. We are doing this through a different charity - a small, local charity, based in Stourbridge, called “Project Gambia”, who send out shoeboxes to a linked region of Gambia. It’s great to be able to support a local, small charity for a change. The shoeboxes will be gathered on Sunday 29th October when we will welcome one of the organisers to speak to us. For information about the charity: www.projectgambia.org.uk
