Go back to normal view
I’m typing this in mid August, the sun’s shining, and I’m loving that things are less hectic!. The Church is a wonderful family and hub, life is busy and exciting, but in August we take a break. Rest is so important! I’m enjoying having free evenings to catch up with friends, drink gin with Paul in the garden, read a novel, watch a movie… rest.
September’s round the corner, the diary’s already full - full of great things: schools; church family day away; messy church; teddy bear church; messy afternoon tea; mothers’ union; Sunday worship and lots more - it’s busy and exciting!
Our hope is that we continue to build relationships across our village, and that the building is viewed as a place of sanctuary for all. You’re welcome to pop in any time, come to any event - please follow us on Facebook / see our website: www.churchatperton.net for details - but there are two particular dates I’d like to highlight:
Community Songs of Praise: Saturday 16th September ~ 4.30pm; where members of our community, including Gavin Williamson MP, will choose their favourite hymns. This will bring a fantastic community day, including the Village Show, Dog Show, Cream Teas at church, and local history exhibition, to a close. Come and sing these old favourites with us!
Our Annual Pet Service takes place on Saturday 30th September ~ 3pm; all varieties of pets and their owners are welcome to this short celebration of our love of our animal friends, which is always fun and unpredictable!
Hope you to see you soon!
